Just how much water should we be drinking?

The NHS has detailed on their website:
The European Food Safety Authority recommends that women should drink about 1.6 litres of fluid and men should drink 2.0 litres of fluid per day. That’s about eight glasses (200ml each) for a women and 10 glasses (200ml each) for a man.

How much water should you drink per day? Current recommendations is 8-glasses or upto 2 litres per day.
